The building was an old tram site, which was used to repair the trams in service therefore having heritage value to the community.

The key items of heritage were, the façade, configuration of internal equipment and tram lines.

The project consisted of semi strip-out of internals, ground floor excavated and extended for new services, refurbished offices and amenities and mezzanine structures built to accommodate new plant and equipment.
